So I called my vet's office, and yes they send info to the city after a rabies shot. And yes it is $100 (!!!) for an un-s/n dog, and $24 for a s/n dog. We have until this thursday to pay!
My question is, why was he going to every single house in the neighborhood? So now b/c of me maybe some other dogs are going to get "found out" about? They didn't know we had two more in the back! also un-neutered! |
This happened to me once. I used to live in Irvine, CA. But it was cuz someone reported my dog. My jack russell nipped at someone while on a walk. I asked if he was ok and he said he was. There was no scar or anything on him. Then 5 min later he comes to my door showing me a week old bruise and saying my dog did that!!!! anyways, he called animal control on me. They came to investigate and found out my jr was not licensed in OC county. He was licensed in Riverside county tho but it did not matter.
Needless to say, he gave me one week to get my dog licensed. Well, cuz of my work hours, i couldnt get to the shelter because they would be closed by the time i was off work and they were closed on my day off. Well, a week later animal control came knocking on my door to check. I told them my situation and he did not care and he gave me a $200 ticket!!!! the license would of only cost $20 a year!!!! ughhh... my point is u should get them licensed asap so u dont go thru what i went thru.....
The funny thing was when animal control came, i had 2 dogs at the time and he saw both of them but he only asked for the license for my jr. Maybe cuz the jr was the one that was being reported????

Anywho, im not sure if this helps or answers your question at all LOL!!!!!!
I was told the max amount of dogs per household in oc is 3. (not sure tho)
Good Luck!
