Kandi's my first girl dog as well, so I understand. It's sort of like a mountain...the symptoms get increasingly worse until the middle and then slowly better over the four weeks. It was difficult to know the last day of her heat.
She sounds like she's cleaning herself well, but there still might be a little blood. Kandi was really good about cleaning herself, so we didn't have to deal with that, thankfully.
She'll be fine.
