Put to sleep? I don't believe in that unless the dog attacks every human being/living thing in site. If it's been just a few bites, it CAN be corrected. But, as I said, you need to be the right kind of person to deal with that and not everybody is.
The dog still deserves a chance at life. Maybe it just needs an owner who is strong minded, able to control him, with no children?
