Have any of your babies had this problem? What works for you? I use the shampoo, tea tree oil (dilute) and antibacterial cream (for humans).
Also how often do you bathe your Yorkie? I use an organic dog shampoo.

i do not like tea tree oil as drying to skin which creates more oil. You need to combat oil with oil so adding oil to the skin causes the skin to stop producing the oil so much like using olive oil on acne skin stops the oil from producing in skin. This is all hormonal based so has your dog been tested for a 6 panel thyroid as can be tied to thyroid and may be hypothyroid. we see jean dodds and my dd had this and she had me use murphy's oil soap and yes the floor cleaner and she had me use it for 10 min rubbing into skin then wash off real well and all the crusties were gone and her coat looked amazing. It is pure vegetable oil soap and citronella which is a good flea protection and a preservative so very natural and it works. Some use head and shoulders etc but i like more natural and this worked for exactly what you are talking about. my dd has allergies so she reacted to the citronella but i would give it a shot one time. Also tea tree is very toxic to cats and have heard of a yorkie die from using that full strength so would never recommend using it
