Yes, Sammy is still at the Vet's.
Her vaginal discharge although it was odorous, it was "clear".
The Vet said her uterus felt normal.
I thought the same thing about the dirt eating (Pica) but, my son also read that parasites can also be in the dirt an in turn cause anemia when they enter the blood.
