I ended up taking Denzil to the vets last friday as I was still finding little 'surprises' in the bathroom. The vet gave him a thorough examination and said he was fit and healthy and therefore it probably was 'Separation anxiety'. She gave me a paste to syringe into his mouth morning and evening and it worked really quickly, he hasn't had any incidents since and it is binding him up. He is back to his normal self and as cute as ever. As for me, I had breast reconstruction surgery(had mastectomy Jan 08) which was why I was in hospital for a week and look as if I have been in a sword fight but am coming along nicely.
