I live about 70 miles north of Dallas and Pepper and I have hardly seen the light of day. It is so hot outside we just stay in under the a/c. It is absolutely miserable out there.
Two years ago, yesterday, I quit smoking after having smoked for 36 years. Well, that, and some health issues I have put on a considerable amount of weight. I finally got it in my head to start walking. I have been leaving the house as soon as it is light outside. OMG, it is still freakin hot!! I have to force myself to open that front door and head out. I am ready for winter.
And Twalla, not sure about Alaska. My dad has been rving in Alaska for the past 6 weeks or so. They stayed at Santaland RV park in North Pole, Alaska and he said when they arrived it was 86 degrees.
