At eight months Coco very likely has/had her first heat cycle. She could have been spayed right at six months before she ever came into heat. You will have to wait a month after she finishes her cycle before you can have her spayed now.
Please make sure you get her spayed before she has a second heat cycle. If you had had her spayed before she had her first cycle, you would have eliminated her risk of ever getting mammary cancer. If you get her spayed before that second cycle, her risk is still low, about 8%. If she has another heat cycle, her risk of cancer will jump to 25%.
If it's been 3 or 4 weeks since you noticed she was in heat, she should be just about finished. If the frequent urination doesn't stop this week, I'd take her in to be checked for a urinary tract infection. |
