For Yorkshire Terriers 9% is the COI of the breed as a whole according to our calculations. Some may argue that it is a bit higher at a full 10%... However, it can depend on the individual kennels as the COI may fluctuate in specific areas where particular sires saturate an area..... Here are a few Inbreeding coefficients for various matings according to M.B. Willis:
Father / Daughter: 25%
Mother / Son: 25%
Brother / Son: 25%
Paternal or Maternal half siblings: 12.5%
