Going to the shows will help you see which yorkies you like best and to give you a better feel of showing. It is so important to see the yorkies movement and going to the shows allow you to see this. Also get the yorkie magazines - they will showcase yorkie breeders/owners, their dogs and have great articles in them - see The Yorkshire Terrier Magazine and The Yorky Club Magazine. Also learn the pedigrees and what they produce.

Be sure the breeder have champions themself and have been showing their dogs.
