Anyone else? I have been making yogurt at home for about 5 years or so now
It's really yummy and EASY....plus with all of the health benefits for tooth and gum disease, I think ALL yorkies and humans should be eating it daily
It costs me about $1.00 for a QUART of homemade greek style yogurt or I can pay $6.00 for 16 ounces in the store
It can take as little as 4 hours in the "incubator" up to about 36 hours for a more SOUR yogurt.
I tend to do longer time for a couple of reasons.1) A TRUE YOGURT (hard to come by) is incubated for at least 24 hours
2) I LIKE the more tart flavor
3) I tend to use mine in place of sour cream or mayo in lots of recipes
Anyone else make yogurt or interested in giving it a go?
