metronidazole is an antibiotic - usually they use albon for parasites and metro for bacteria infections?? any antibiotic can make them sick to their stomach if given on empty stomach so best way is to give 1/2 food then pill and wrap it in a tiny piece of cooked chicken ( i use only organic) then give the other 1/2 of food -- i do not free feed only feed twice a day so this works. You need to make sure with any pain meds or antibiotics to have food all around it or it will aggravate the stomach |
