I am considering getting pet insurance for Scooter. He will be two next month and while he is healthy now, I know you can't qualify once they aren't as healthy. There are SO many kinds of pet insurance out there. I have gotten quotes from several companies and they all offer different plans at different rates.

Do you have pet insurance for your yorkie? If so, what company do you use and are you happy with it? Are there important "add-ons" I need to get or specific coverage I need to watch for? Did you pick your plan for specific reasons? I live alone so I cannot afford a really expensive plan, I just want something economical that can kick in if an emergency happens.
