 Agression to other dogs
My Yorkie does not like other dogs. Some of it is that there are no other dogs around him. I tried him at a local Dog Day Care Camp but even there he did not do well. Yesterday, when I was on the porch drinking coffee, a woman was walking her two dogs on the street (I'm near the street) and Tiki just went up to them and started raising cane barking and acting like he was going to attack them. He ignored me when I tried to keep him on the porch. I'm worried that this may actually cause him to get into a fight with another dog. Also, I would like to get another Yorkie but don't feel that I can unless I can get him to the point where he is comfortable playing with another dog. He has had minimal training and my first thought is to redo the training and expand on it. Any other suggestions? Thanks. |
