Toby turned 2 in March and still has 1 retained baby tooth. He did have 2 but vigorous play and brushing got it loose enough the vet could just tweak it out. This one looks like it may never come out, and if it doesn't we're most likely stuck with it. He had a cardiac arrest when he was neutered, so he won't be going under again unless it's a matter of life or death. I struggle mightily to keep his teeth clean and don't feel like I'm winning the battle. His gums do get sore now and then, and once in a great while there is a tiny bit of blood but I just keep plugging away and hoping! |
