My Rita has LP with her back left leg. She appears almost normal when walking (she doesn't run much), but if she's been laying down a while, will lift the back left leg off the floor for 5 seconds or so, then slowly put her full weight on it. She doesn't cry out in pain when the vet checks it. She doesn't jump on or off any furniture, we pick her up and put her down.
