I agree. A friend recently lost her 2# Maltese when her husband accidentally stepped on her and broke her neck.

My vet and I were just discussing the high rate of injury for super tinies. They had just had one of their tiny Yorkie patients die from accidentally being slammed in a door.

I personally think a 5-6 pound dog is a much better choice.
