You haven't mentioned the age of this puppy. An actual show dog is usually not sold as a show dog until closer to a year old.
Champion sired or champions in the pedigree does not in any way assure anyone that the puppy is a show dog. Many times I have had a show dog in a litter but the other siblings are not show dogs, they are pet quality. Sometimes I can figure it out sooner rather than later. In some cases, it wasn't until the puppy was more than six months before it was evident it was not maturing into a show quality, so it would be spayed or neutered and sold for pet. Pups in the litter that are pet quality are exaclty the same pedigree as the one that is the show dog. |
