Just speaking for myself, I have only had one c-section in over 12 years of raising yorkies. That female was 5 lbs and had one large puppy in her. She had a c-section and the puppy did fine. I did breed her again later and she delivered two healthy puppies naturally.

I have been told that it is best not to have the female spayed at the same time the c-section is done because they can bleed a lot more and it is more risky. It can also effect their milk production.
