She is sturdy I would say but I am not willing to risk loosing her just for a litter of puppies. We have had puppies before, by the way, with our mini schnauzer.
Thnx.
Taking the underlined into consideration, then I would say, No, do not breed her. My girl was the same, 6.5 pounds, very healthy. She even had a first litter with no problems. Then the second litter, we lost her. No warning -- she just went down very fast. Vet figured a tear in uterus/infection. You just never know what will happen with our little ones. I thought I was well prepared, well-read, had her checked by the vet and two breeders. She was "the perfect momma dog." I miss her so much! I never really thought it would happen to her. That was something that happened to other breeders who did not prepare, did not have their dogs checked out, somehow did not do all they could. It can happen to anyone! I learned a couple of lessons, but I do not know if I will ever try breeding again. So very thankful that some do though. I never want to be without Yorkies!
