Personally, I always have my Vet do an exam on a new pet initially, mainly because I know nothing of their normal behavior other than the really obvious stuff such as vomiting and diahrrea that are not normal for any pet. The main thing is that neither is good for such a young little pup, and can turn critical really fast. So, to be on the safe side, let your Vet have a look at him. They will do a good job and give you an overall health assessment which gives you a baseline to work with, and you go from there. Like if he has a fever he may be sick. If not, then a tummy upset from excitement. And good info from everybody else who replied so far... |
