I'm so sorry to hear about your baby but at least it's all fixable. I don't have any personal experience with fho surgeries but we have had 3 lp surgeries here. There is no doubt in my mind I would choose a board certified surgeon over a regular vet. A regular vet receives basic surgery training while a board certified surgeon has taken a minimum of 2 more years of additional training.
