When my kids were little-2 and an infant, I got my 2nd dog; although both were big dogs. The pup was no problem at all with the kids. I think it depends upon the dog and kids. Now that my kids are teenagers, we have 1 big dog 1 medium and 3 small dogs. My latest addition was a 2nd rescued yorkie. She has sure put a stop to adding any more for me. Its not her its my teenagers. Luli (my rescue) is 8yrs old and not housebroken and hates cats. The kids refuse to leave her in the kitchen and let her run the house when I am not there because they feel sorry for her. It was so much easier when the kids were little. |
