so My puppy (bruno) 3 month's old about to turn 4 the 30th of this month! is the smartest cookie ever! except when it comes to going to the bathroom

i love my puppy oh so much!
and i had him since i say last friday! and he already responds to his name! if i call him! he would come running to me!

he actually has learned to sit and jump in 2 feet! which is amazing! because i have only had him for what..6 days or soo.. and he can sit when i tell him and jump and stand when i tell him, obviously everytime he did this! i gave him treats!

now my problem is if only i can potty train him! i know it take's some time! but about how much time does it take and what is the best method to do it? i have the pee sheet's that i bought but really don't seem to be working lol..

so im trying the newspaper maybe he likes to poop in newspaper, i know his soo smart and i know he can do it! if he can listen to his name and learn to sit+stand up! his def. smart enough to get potty train!

sometimes when i see him going somewhere else! i say NO BRUNO! and take him to the sheet but then he completely stop and save's it for late or something! and i dont like that because i dont want him to hold his needs...

im really happy with my puppy! he really adapted to my family so fast! when any of us come home! he starts shaking his tail and just jumping in joy.. ah his so adorable.

so whats the best method, and about how long would it take?
i have a cage for him! i hate caging him! i feel so bad.. i only do it when we go to sleep, his actually starting to love his bed/crate!

so any suggestion's
