My Stormy is about 4.8-5lbs around there give or take. Her parents were both larger, from what I know her mom was a 9lber and her dad was I think around 7lbs. Stormy was suppose to be bigger but she ended up being pretty small! She's got a short body as well!

I guess it all comes down to the individual dog! I myself would prefer a sturdy dog, I wouldn't wanna go any smaller then the size I have already.

T.V shows off small tiny purse dogs and everyone thinks oh it's so cute and they would love one, they don't know the truth and the dangers!
I agree with yorkiemama_22 - My boys are 9 & 7 lbs and I like them bigger like this - they are less apt to have injuries like the smaller babies. And with our active lifestyles it's a good thing. They can keep up with us, still have fun and are still portable! I love the smaller babies, but depending on the lifestyle you have and your home and what you're willing to do for them - those babies shouldn't be adopted by just anyone. You have to consider their health & safety first.
