some just grow faster than others, and some slower than others. I had got a Maltese male to use as a stud, needed to be small (4-5 lbs) at 9 weeks old he start growing so fast I thought he was going to be 12 lbs grown. He was a fat little guy, at 12 weeks he was aready 4lbs. I thought about place him as a pet becuase I knew I would not be able to use him as a stud, but do you know he is over a year old not and never got over 4.5 lbs. After 12 wks his legs got a little longer, and body a little longer, but ended up being my smallest Maltese. I have one that is 4lbs but Chase looks smaller than the 4 lb one because his legs and body is shorter. I am very happy that I keep him. I named him "Chase" the ladies because he is my stud man!! |
