We just moved to TX from OH. Our 6 month yorkie did GREAT. We kept him in a pop-up car carrier that we bought from target and stopped every 2-4 hours. Whenever we got out of the car we would take him for a little walk. We put chew toys and small bones in his carrier to keep him entertained. Those small bones from Dingo are AMAZING. Each time we stopped we would give him water. Please remember that if you stop somewhere you can't take your Yorkie in, crack the windows and park in the shade or put up a window shade if you can. A hot car can be very dangerous very quickly!

I would definitely start getting him used to the car and his carrier before hand. Start with short rides to places like parks and dog runs so he can associate the car ride with good experiences.

Hope this helped anyone going on a long road trip!
