I think if I were in that situation myself, hubby, and children would all find a dog and take it with them. We have an upstairs and down. They all sleep upstairs in bed with us. Except for Terry our Pug he is my oldest's and sleeps with him. I am sure he and his brother would grab Terry and go. He loves his Terry to bits. He said even though Terry is 4 yrs. old; when he finishes High School he is moving to France and taking Terry with him he doesn't care what it costs!
