Exactly my experience as well. At four weeks don't expect any miracles. They will get better the cleaner you keep it and as they get older and start to venture out of their bed they will start to potty out of bed. My little buggers at 8 wks started to cry to go potty outside. They will stay clean in the crate for at least a couple of hours. I put them out and they all venture out in the yard following their moms and going potty. It is so amazing to see what they learn!
