If a dog skips or carries a leg, you should have it checked. Luxating patella can be diagnosed many times VERY early. In fact I know of some pups who were diagnosed with it at their 6 week old appt. I have heard of many dogs being diagnosed around their first birthday. Have it checked on monday, it is a very simple maneuver the vet does, bends the knee while feeling all around in there.
