Was she diagnosed with Coccidia if so, was what your vet prescribed Albon.
Giardia is completely different and is contracted by drinking stagnant infected water. Flagyl is the drug of choice. Sanitation of the premises with disinfectants; bleach. Keep premises clean and dry. Humans can be infected with this bacterial parasite also, and a doctor should be consulted if asymptomatic.
Symptions, Include weight loss, inability to gain weight appropriately during growth, diarrehea, vomiting, lack of appetite and greasy appearing stools.
