I've been reading about the medication she was on. It has a 60% to 70% effective rate and some serious concerns about liver damage.

If Starr is eating something in the backyard or picking up the parasite in the water in the yard, what do I do to stop it? I don't want her to be sick every other month.

Then again, I gave her a rib bone on the 4th of July and she's never had people food ...

Help.
Was she diagnosed with Coccidia if so, was what your vet prescribed Albon.

Giardia is completely different and is contracted by drinking stagnant infected water. Flagyl is the drug of choice. Sanitation of the premises with disinfectants; bleach. Keep premises clean and dry. Humans can be infected with this bacterial parasite also, and a doctor should be consulted if asymptomatic.

Symptions, Include weight loss, inability to gain weight appropriately during growth, diarrehea, vomiting, lack of appetite and greasy appearing stools.
