Most dogs are middle-aged when this occurs and it is normally accompanied by pain, whining, dragging hind quarters, etc. I think most pups (and some full) grown dogs to the bunny-hop run from time to time. Trixie did it because it was the only way she could get over the grass. I had a long talk with our vet about this once because when we got Flash (our Basset) she told us she had it. I panicked, but then she told me that was common with Bassets (have you ever seen there legs) and she would be concerned if Flash DIDN'T have it. I think it is safe to assume your baby is OK.
