I need help! My YT is 16 weeks old. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old (half her life!). She is not potty trained yet. Sometimes, if I am in the room, she will dash over to her pad and urinate on it and I praise her profusely and give her a treat. If I am in another room she will go somewhere I can't see her and wet just anywhere, it doesn't matter if it is tile or carpet. Also, she will not poop on the potty pad even if I catch her getting ready to go and pick her up and take her to the pad. She just shuts it off and waits until later. I have tried taking her outside after meals and naps, but we live in the country and she got fleas from the yard. My husband will not even consider crate training because he thinks it is awful and she doesn't have room to play in the crate. Will she ever get housebroken? She is so smart in all other ways.
