 Am just starting to use Promeris
We have a small mixed dog we rescued about 6 months ago. We discovered that she has generalized demodex. We have already tried the dip, Mitaban, at first and it did not help. Before the dip she had patches of hair missing and after the dip treatment, a lot more hair fell out. On our doctor's recommendation we moved onto Milbemycin (Interceptor) which is very expensive. Since we don't know the exact breeds in our dog, we used this as oppose to Ivermectin, which can be dangerous to some breeds. This also had no good results. We are now on Promeris. We just bathed her and put it on about a week ago, June 28, 2009. Since we stopped the dip, her hair is pretty much grown back but the scrapings still say she has all stages of the mites in large numbers on her. We will keep our fingers crossed that Promeris works.
