Whoosh.. what a whirlwind little furbaby you have there.
I work with alot of dogs like this and find that crate training can be a big help if not the total answer. Doesn't ALWAYS work but it probably does in 75 percent. A closed off area NEVER seems to work for the peeing and pooping issues for me. I know others say it works for them but I guess I must be doing someting wrong. Also as far as the destruction thing... do you have any other dogs or just the one at this time? I found out that some of my little furangels casn be very well behaved until certain other dogs come around and then it is a free for all rip up everything fest. I have 2 right now that never chew or rip or destroy anything....UNLESS they play together and then it is a free for all. I also have one little guy right now who is taking forever to get the idea of any housebreaking. I keep him in a smaller open top pen in the living room and have a ferret litter box with newspaper in with him. the ferret boxes have the low opening like doggy litter boxes but are half the cost. The open top lets me whip him in and out easily and makes him feel more opened instead of a closed crate. The litter box is because if he can't hold it he will go in the box.. well at least 1/2 of the time which is more then NEVER like when we first started 2 months ago.
Some of them take forever to train but you just need to be CONSISTANT. I actually get up 1-3 times everynight depending who is here in the rescue and how new they are. i don't LIKE getting up but I know if I don't then I will be facing a stinky morning and have to decide which I would rather do
