Hi Nancy: A friend of mine told me that RC uses byproducts. I just took her word for it but now I see that they don't on their website. I would not choose this food for other reasons myself but if you and Joey are satisfied with it, then it seems you have picked the right food for your family.

Thanks for the link to the website. I mostly cook for my dogs and have since they were puppies but I do use dog food in their diets sometimes as well.
