I asked my dog trainer the same question because my daughter immediately gave up a huge bucket of toys for them. She said they're not really made for dogs but agreed that it would be okay because we already let them have them. I think that if it's safe for a baby then it would be okay for a small dog but I would still be careful to make sure your dog can't break any pieces off because a dog is a lot more aggressive than a small baby and I'd be so upset for you if something happened to your dog. My dogs jump in and out of their bucket of toys...so cute! If they destroy a toy I just toss it so no one chokes...helping with the clutter...lol!
