Well, it's been 36 hrs. since I brought her home and she's still only peed twice, both times on the carpet. She slept in the bathroom again with her crate and her pee pad (didn't use it) and this morning I took her out first thing. We were outside for close to 1/2 hr. and no peeing!! I know she's confused and I feel so bad because she's so good with her leash and harness, she will walk with me nicely and when I stop she sits down and looks up at me like she's waiting for me to decide what to do. I tried taking the pee pad out this morning and even that didn't help yet. I had to bring her in because she was getting too cold, Alberta mornings are pretty chilly this time of year. I put her back in the bathroom and in about 1/2 hr. I'll try again. I'm going to phone her breeder later too and see if she has any ideas.
I do have some stuff from Petsmart for cleaning the spots on the carpet but I know if I let her out of the bathroom she'll pee on it first thing. I don't want to leave her in the bathroom for the rest of her life though.
Thanks so much for all of your tips, I'll just have to keep trying. I already love her to pieces, she is so sweet and loveable (she really seems to like me already although I know she must miss her other Mama.)
