My tattoos are also constantly exposed to sun but haven't faded at all. Of course, I'm no dermatologist or tattoo artist so what do I know?
Oh, actually I should have been more specific. I have a large tattoo on my upper back that is mostly red, and my tattoo artist said that red fades and spreads fast (just like haircolor). BUT when I first got it, I was still tanning. I have stopped for a few years now, but whenever someone sees my tattoo they ask if I just got it done. I got it done in 2003. But from other people I have also heard over time (like years and years) the sun will fade tats, but not ruin them. Hee hee oops. I was most likely drunk or buzzed last night when I typed that.
