Hello everyone

I was wondering how some of you potty train your yorkies to go outside while having to attend work also. So i know some of you crate train, but my real question is.. After you know your furkid understands she/he is only supposed to go outside do you let them have free roam of the house while your at work?
Would they have a accident because they are not confined to a cage anymore? How does this work for you?

If you guys have anymore methods please post them.

(I'm not sure I want to use potty pads because im afraid that would confuse them into thinking a rug is okay to potty on.)
