I would make a safe enclosed area...maybe a kitchen or bathroom with hard flooring? make sure there are no wires or any other dangers that your baby could chew on.
Put a peepad down in one corner, bed in another, a bowl of water and a bowl of kibble. Put out a few SAFE toys to play with and maybe leave a radio playing for comfort. Could you have a friend or neighbour to pop in a check on him?
