The first yr. I had Roxie (2 yrs. ago) she did great and could have cared less about the fireworks. She's never been afraid of storms either. But not this year. We had to go to a family dinner for a little bit and were home just around dusk. My adult kids got to our house just a little bit before us and started setting off some fireworks. Plus all the neighborhoods around us were doing some too. The windows were cracked because it had rained all day yesterday. When I came in I couldn't find Roxie anyplace, she was in the back of the house in my bathroom standing there frozen and shaking. She could barely move. I'm so used to her running to me when I come home. I felt so sorry for her I picked her up and held her tight and closed all of the windows. She wanted to be outside with us so bad, so I held her and she would get shaky but at the same time was so curious as to what was going on. As long as I was holding her she was ok. Due to the rain they postponed our fireworks for tonight so it's going to be a repeat of last night accept maybe most people set off their personal stash last night.
