My neighborhood has a fireworks display that rivals any public display that I have ever been to and Harley was crazy when it started, running from door to door in the house trying to see what was going on. I took him outside on our deck and held him really close where he could see the fireworks and within a couple of minutes he was fine. I took him back into the house and he settled down just like it was any other night. I really think it was that protection instict and once he seen there was nothing that was going to harm his family he was ok.
