New Yorkie! 3 Month Old! Help/suggestions! hi,
just yesterday i got the cutest 3 month old yorkie ever! his great, very playful took him about a day to get used to the house! i bough him plenty toy's so many he can't decide which one to play with lol.
anyways, my problem is...
since his new he sniffs everything in the house and anything he finds he eats... he even ate my mom plant and dirt =\. idk if its okay! i mean i dont think it can be that bad.
this morning i was playing with him, until i heard this noise coming like a huffin/sneezing it was weird. as i was looking through this forum i saw that this can be reverse sneezing or something like that.. what i did to stop it was grabbed a syringe(not a needle one or anything that can hurt him or poke hiim, it was a syringe i got when i got my wisdom teeth pull out and it just squirts water) anyways i put water on that open his mouth and pour a lil bit of water in there, because i though he was choking. he was fine afterward's haven't heard anything since...
(note** the breader gave me some medicine because she had another yorkie a smaller one that was sneezing and like coughin and he was sick and she said sometimes if one is sick they all catch it, so she gave me medicine for him just in case, would it be necessary to give him the medicine if this weird sneezing/huffing insist?)
another thing is he keeps scratching himself a lot specially his back! and i think this is due to dry skin! i got him the oatmeal shampoo i shower him today he was fine for a couple hours but his like scratching himself again so i guess im gonna have to bathe him in a couple day's again!
i been trying to potty train him as well i bought him aboserbent pads, i call them pee pee sheets.. they absorb pee and stuff like that. well at night i put it like right beside's his bed that i bought him just in case he needs to go u know? is this good to put it by his bed, where he sleeps!
i did it last night and i went to go look at the sheet and found it all wet! with pee which is great i think because he went to the bathroom in the sheets and not his bed! so thats a plus!
And lastly the breeder from who i got it from said to give him sugar on his water or put syrup in his gums! to help his energy and if i don't see him eating as much to give hiim sugar in his water because he might loose sugar in his body and that can lead to death! is this true?
also i been giving him some rice, and lil bit of chicken! with its normal doggy food that she gave me! she also told me to get him soft food! i forgot the name! but should i give him a softer food for now? because he eats the normal doggie food but not as much!
my Yorkie is a normal size one its not tea cup or anything!
other than that my dog is the most playful dog ever he runs around and looks healthy! and goes nuts for his toys i love my yorkie! and i want the best for him, if you have any advice! i would love anything!
thanks! |
