Help me pick a paper topic for my 8000 word essay. I have to write it (approx 30 pages) and give a presentation on it.

Its a contemporary or historical issue that I need to analyze from a political psychology perspective. Example of a possible topic is:
What was the state of mind of the German leaders and people during the Holocaust? How did they rationalize their actions?
