It looks to be his long white tail with the black base in that last picture held almost straight out back though not quite lined up with his back.
I think the hair cut on the tail makes it look stumpy in a long sort of way so you might not have noticed it as it's not the usual feathery type of cut/growth or it could just have been that the hair wrapped around his tail in his movement/wind or other factors.
