Yorkies love to chew and once they have started on something it is hard to get them to stop. The bitter apple works well, but can get kinda expensive if you have a number of areas that they chew. I watched Dog Whsperers on Animal Planet and he said to get stick antipersperent(Sp) and put it where they chew, I went to the 99 cent store bought a clear stick type, put it where the dogs were chewing and they have never gone near it again. Same thing with hairspray, a light dusting of hairspray will work. The pups were "dining" on occasion in the cats litter box, placed papers around litter box, sprayed with hair spray and they won't go near it, does not seem to bother the cat. They sell a stick called "Stay Away" stick at petco for $10 and if you check the ingredients are the same as the stick antipersperent (sp). |
