Chicken, Red Meat, Exotic Meats and Organ Meat MUST be avoided. They are too high in protein and too high in purines, they are toxic and like poison to her body.
Rice or Noodles as the carbs, veggies and a protein source like eggs or cottage cheese should be used.
She should be seen by a Vet or knows about small breeds and liver shunts |
Both of my boys had liver shunts. Cole was born with it and Milo developed one after eating paint at 3 months old. If it is indeed a liver shunt, a high protein diet is OUT! And, there are medications that will need to be administered in order for her body to break down and get rid of the toxins. This is nothing to just push aside. She needs medical attention. Cole's medical bills were in excess of $5,000 and Milo's were over $10,000. I pray that it is not a liver shunt and that your baby starts to feel better soon. Please keep us posted.
