hello yorkie talk family. I am the proud new owner of two 2 year old yorkies. A female named Heav'ne and a male named Legacy. Heav'ne is 53 days pregnant and she has started spending lots of time under my bed and she seem to be scratching and digging in my wood floors. i know that full term means 60-63 days so my question is should she be digging already. She has a whelping box but she refuses to stay in it. When my husband tries to get her from under the bed she growls at him. She spends maybe 3 hours a day just laying under the bed. My other question is because she is a bigger yorkie around 10 pounds will she have a bigger litter. I know you all may be saying why would you breed a yorkie that is not within the standards but to answer that question, both dogs belonged to my neighbor who's drug habit made it hard to care for them so I took them off of her hands. When I first got them Heav'ne was already pregnant. I was told by my neighbors husband that the dogs tied on May 11th. I have since had Legacy fixed to prevent this from happening again. Heav'ne has a xray scheduled in five days. That was the earliest I could get her in for an appointment. I really love them already even though I've only had them for about a month. They are akc registered as they gave me all the dogs papers. I may need help when it comes to whelping so I am asking anyone who can answer my questions without being harsh to please check in on me as I will posting daily.
