No such thing, show breeders do this all the time. I can show you pictures of my dogs that have topknots 10 - 12 inches long....you saw the pictures of the last poster, extremely healthy hair. Show dogs are table trained from a very young age to relax and enjoy this procedure. The exhibitor knows how to handle the dog and products so the dog has no discomfort or adverse reactions from products used. Eyes and nose are covered prior to spraying and if by chance product accidently gets in the eye we carry eye meds to immediately stop discomfort. Show dogs coats are extremely well cared for with the best products used externally and internally to promote healthy coat and skin.
